School Year Recap

Well…

Its been a while. So I decided to make a post today to commemorate what’s been happening lately and by lately, just a few short hours ago.

I got my Visa earlier today. That means I’m soon about to book a flight and leave the Philippines. That also means that I won’t be able to finish this school year. It was fun, being my very first high school year, why wouldn’t it?

So I made a list of the things I learned this year and some insights from the quirky, dramatic and funny moments that I have encountered since day 1 of high school life in the Philippines:

• Real friendship gives a second chance and a third, and a fourth, fifth…
• No matter what you say, your peer’s insights really matter. Even if you deny it a lot.
• When people say “I’m never gonna do it again”, that only applies for the next 2 days.
• Even when you say that you swear that you’re gonna inflict major pain or curse at  that annoying teacher, you’re never really gonna do it.
• When you think you’re the only one who hates someone, you’re wrong. There’s always someone who hates the same person that you do, you just gotta find him/her.
• When someone says “I’ll try to come” , he’ll come 30% of the time. When someone says “I’m not sure if I can come, but I’ll try” he’s not coming.
• When you lend someone a cheap pen, expect that its not coming back.
• When your BF/GF doesn’t study in our school, nobody cares about the details.
• When someone who you aren’t that close to says “This is our secret” that means its a secret between you and that person… Along with the five or so people she had already told the secret to earlier.
• When you and your crush share the same horoscope or are compatible according to the “Love-O-Meter” that does not mean you are meant for each other or otherwise are compatible, along with the millions of people that share the same horoscope as you.
• When someone is sharing a story about him when he went to a club, no one really cares what he’s saying. Everyone is to busy asking themselves “Wait… YOU GO TO A CLUB AT 12 YEARS OLD?”.
• Drinking at Starbucks makes you feel rich.
• Love quotes that  you get from the internet and songs are really cheesy. No matter how much impact it has on your life.
• When someone learns a new word, he repeatedly uses it over and over beyond practical reason.

and lastly ( Last that I can remember at least )

• When someone says “Come here, use these earphones and put it on maximum volume. Now look closely” that means there is something about to pop out and scare the living day lights out of you.
